Word Sight Day “Vision First!”

World Sight Day (WSD) is an annual day of awareness to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment. 

The theme of the Day for 2019 is ‘Vision First’.

To promote public understanding on how to protect their vision, Heart to Heart International Cambodia conducted eye screening 

activities from October 9 to 11 in Sotnikum, Kralanh, and Angkor Chum Vision Center in celebration of World Sight Day 2019.

 

 

 

 

At the activities, more than 450 residents got eye screening, prescription and free sunglasses. 

Heart to Heart International Cambodia shared the significance of WSD activities and explained the function 

of the Vision Center and how important it is to protect the eyes.

 

 


 

After the activities, Heart to Heart International Cambodia provided referral service that helps patients 

to receive proper treatment at Siem Reap Provincial Hospital which is upper level hospital. 

The patients got support with transportation, treatment and surgery fee, subsidy on food.

 

 


 

Heart-Heart International Cambodia is planning to have an Eye Camp project for four days in November. 

It will continue to strive to lower the blindness rate and to ensure that community people can have healthy eyes.
