‘Speak for Success' 3rd Term Completion Ceremony for the Educational Support Program

to Enhance Employability of Future Generations in Fergana, Uzbekistan

The completion ceremony of the ‘Speak for Success’ 3rd Term, conducted in collaboration with Heart to Heart Foundation and POSCO International, took place March 7th, 2024.

This program aims to enhance employability and improve job opportunities for adolescents in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan by providing English education.

Since 2022, it has collaborated with specialized foreign language education companies in Korea, YBMNET and RINGLE, to deliver high-quality English classes.

'Speak for Success' 3rd Term progressed November 2023 to March 2024. The number of 56 Students participated in this project. Through the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Terms, we have graduated a total of 139 students.

Moreover, in this project, we offered 20 students the opportunity to take the IELTS test for free. The IELTS assesses the four language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. In Uzbekistan, it is one of the most widely required English proficiency exams for employment. Achieving an IELTS score can be considered as a strength in employability.

At the ceremony, a total of 77 attendees, including students, parents, and guests were attended. The certificates were presented by Byeon Sung-hwan, CFO of the Uzbekistan POSCO INTERNATIONAL TEXTILE, and Park Sang-woo, the Coordinator from Heart to Heart Foundation. Additionally, Mamajanov Gaybulla, Head of Public Education Department in Fergana, participated and presented certificates of appreciation to the POSCO INTERNATIONAL and the Heart to Heart Foundation. Furthermore, the event featured speech from student representative and special performances prepared by the students.

Lastly, Mamajanov Gaybulla expressed gratitude. “We are grateful for your generous contribution to the promotion of foreign language learning under the auspices of South Korea's Heart to Heart Foundation and POSCO INTERNATIONAL. We believe that this project will play a key role in helping the youth of the Fergana region to grow up educated, mature, and in line with the world's requirements.”

We, Heart to Heart Foundation, are continuously working to enhance employability for adolescents in Fergana in collaboration with POSCO INTERNATIONAL. These efforts will continue into the next 4th Term project.
