2017 free eye camp for World Elderly Day
▶ Residents are waiting for free eye examination
To commemorate World Elderly Day in 2017,
HtHF conducted free eye camp for residents of Mtwara regionon 1st and 2nd October.
Most of the rural residents are suffering from blindness and other eye diseases,
despite the fact that Heart to Heart Foundation equipped the ophthalmic clinics with the latest equipment to improve infrastructure in Mtwara region,
most of the rural residents are still unable to visit the ophthalmic clinics due to low income and lack of transportation.
HtHF have been working to prevent blindness by providing steady eye camp for community regularly.
Especially to commemorate World Elderly Day, 2nd October, about 70people conducted free eye camp for rural residents.

▶ Ms. Upendo is examined her eye sight to be supported eye glasses.
Ms. Upendo (Female, 45), who participated in eye camp, said her eyesight began to decreased three years ago.
But she can’t afford to visit hospital. So she thought that she will live the rest of her life with low vision.
However, she was participate in the eye camp according to the recommendation of a neighbor who benefited from the HtHF.
And She was able to receive eye examinations and free glasses through the eye camp.
She was satisfied with free glasses and she said thank you for the support many times.
From now on she can see more clear and bright than before.
HtHF is sincerely hoped that she will live a Bright life with glasses!
HtHF is making an effort to prevent blindness in Mtwara region through eye camp.
