Held the MLOP standard manual development workshop, Bangladesh

Heart to Heart Foundation(HtHF) and Korea International Cooperation Association(KOICA) have been
training Mid Level Ophthalmic Personnel(MLOP) for solving lack of eye care manpower since 2011.
Especially, we have been developing MLOP standard education manual with Directorate General of Health Service(DGHS) since 2016.
MLOP standard manual development workshop was held at DGHS last 19th of March.
Ophthalmologists who work at National Institute of Ophthalmology & hospital(NIO) including Dr. Enayet and
government officials attended in this workshop.
All of attendants had a heated discussion that were split up four groups about some complementary points.
Based on the discussions in this workshop, we will supplement and publish about MLOP manual final issue.
When MLOP standard manual is developed, it means all of students for MLOPs can study with standard manual textbook.
From now on, all students becoming MLOPs can study with developed standard manual textbook that could be
helpful to establish a solid foothold as eye health manpower in Bangladesh.
