To continue the church’s role of ‘life-changing light’ through the donation to the Heart to Heart Foundation
The Heart to Heart Foundation and Amazing Grace Church got together again for the second time since last year to practice their charity for love of neighbors.
On the May 22nd, an event was held to share the joy of Jesus’ resurrection at the main sanctuary of Amazing Grace Church.
Amazing Grace Church has been making charity donations to live out their commitment to loving your neighbors. The church contributed to handing out eyeglass frames in Tanzania and this year its donation went to providing 300 solar lamps in Gimbi village in the Singida region of Tanzania.
The Heart to Heart Foundation will match the donation by Amazing Grace Church to give out semi-permanent solar lamps in the areas without electricity in Tanzania.
The Heart to Heart Foundation has been doling out solar lamps to Asia and Africa since 2010. Solar lamps help people in poverty in underdeveloped countries who are left in the dark without electricity for better livelihood and educational opportunities and have been working as ‘life changing light’ by helping people with their health, prevention of fire and vision loss as well as respiratory diseases.
Reverend Lee of Amazing Grace Church said, “We are very grateful and glad to be able to celebrate the joy of the resurrection of Jesus, who has come as the light of the world, with global neighbors with the Heart to Heart Foundation.
“This project will serve as a good example for spreading sharing practices by churches as well as a model collaboration between a church and a non-profit organization,” said the founder Shin In-sook.
Based on love and compassion, the Heart to Heart Foundation has been serving those children and families in Korea and overseas who suffer from poverty, disability and disease so that they can be empowered and create a better world together. It was founded in 1988.
