Founded in 1988, the Heart to Heart Foundation is rooted in the spirit of God’s love and compassion. We serve children and their families in Korea and abroad who are marginalized due to poverty, disabilities, and disease, empowering them to enhance their capabilities.
Since its establishment, the Heart to Heart Foundation has developed various cultural welfare programs to support youth facing difficult circumstances, including those with disabilities, as well as educational welfare programs that provide comprehensive educational services for visually impaired children. Alongside these initiatives, we have also been involved in projects aimed at improving awareness of disabilities. Notably, the Heart to Heart Orchestra, founded in 2006, has grown to become a representative orchestra for individuals with developmental disabilities in our country and is recognized as a model for cultural welfare.
Internationally, we are engaged in specialized international development cooperation projects aimed at establishing inclusive and sustainable eye health systems in developing countries, preventing blindness, and combating infectious diseases such as trachoma. As a full member of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and an officially registered NGO with the UN Department of Public Information (DPI), the Heart to Heart Foundation has received high recognition for the effectiveness of its initiatives both domestically and internationally.
The Heart to Heart Foundation has been able to continuously carry out various projects and achieve significant results thanks to the generous support and encouragement from our donors who have offered their love and dedication. We have conducted sustainable welfare projects based on our core values of respect and service, cooperation and growth, creativity and innovation, as well as transparency and accountability.
Moving forward, the Heart to Heart Foundation will continue to enhance the capabilities of all our members with a unified spirit, constantly innovate, and strive to create a beautiful world where we can all live together with marginalized neighbors, both domestically and internationally, through exceptional expertise and transparent, honest operations.
