The Heart Brass Ensemble a musical group comprised of members with developmental disorders performed here in Arirang Tower.

With Christmas just around the corner, some festive songs made it into their setlist.

Kim Jungsil was there to meet them.

You are listening to a performance by the Heart Brass Ensemble.

Aged 24 to 35 , there's one member each to play the trumpet, the horn, the tuba, and drums.

A special unit from the Heart to Heart orchestra.

What's unique about these musicians is that they all suffer from different levels of developmental disorders.

But that hasn't stopped them from becoming musicians. 

Meet Je-gyun, he's been playing the trumpet for 16 years since he was in elementary school.

"I just liked the brilliant sound of the trumpet. Whenever I heard it, it gave me energy.

I want to become a musician who can move people with his performances."

When I asked about the secret to the ensemble's harmony, they said there's only one thing that matters -practice.

Some even practice for up to 10 hours a day.

As a group, they rehearse two or three times a week in the build-up to a show.

"The members of the heart brass ensemble are rehearsing just behind me and they've prepared many songs for the Christmas season."

The orchestra's spokesperson said they perform regularly to change how society sees people with developmental disorders.

"People with developmental disorders are not far away, they could be a member of our own family or a neighbor. So it's important to know that they are not wrong,.. just different.

I think if people can understand their individuality and personality, they can feel closer to people with disabilities."

The orchestra foundation said it will continue to support its members so that they can perform in various places and follow their dreams.

임제균씨를 만나보았습니다.

그는 초등학교 때부터 16년 동안 트럼펫을 연주해 왔다.

"저는 단지 트럼펫의 찬란한 소리가 좋았어요. 트럼펫 소리를 들을 때마다, 저에게 에너지를 주었습니다.

트럼펫 연주로 사람들을 감동시킬 수 있는 음악가가 되고 싶어요"라고 말했다.

앙상블의 화음 비결에 대해 물었을 때, 단 한 가지 중요한 것이 연습이라고 말했다.

어떤 단원들은 하루에 10시간까지 연습을 한다.

그들은 공연을 위해 일주일에 두세 번 앙상블 연습을 하며, 리허설을 한다.

"하트브라스앙상블 멤버들이 제 바로 뒤에서 리허설을 하고 있습니다.

그리고 크리스마스 시즌을 위해 많은 노래를 준비했습니다."

하트하트오케스트라 팀장은 우리 사회의 장애인식개선을 바꾸기 위해 다양한 공연한다고 말했다.

"발달장애인은 멀리 있지 않습니다, 그들은 우리 가족의 일원일 수도 있고 이웃일 수도 있습니다. 

그래서 틀린 것이 아니라 다르다는 것을 이해하는 것이 중요합니다. 

저는 사람들이 그들의 개성과 성격을 이해할 수 있다면, 장애가 있는 사람들과 더 가깝게 느낄 수 있다고 생각합니다."

하트-하트재단은 단원들이 다양한 장소에서 공연하면서 그들의 꿈을 이룰 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원할 것이라고 말했다.
